Act 1 - Doll's House ♥
Act 1, to me, was pretty good. It had some things that made you REALLY sit there and think. Being Nora, she's so childish and silly. Not silly as in funny, but more like playful in a way. It kind of irritated me the way Torvald treated her. It's like he considered her an "airhead." Although Torvald has basically no idea what's going on, it seems as if he's a little suspicious. I still don't get why ANYONE would call their spouse "scatterbrain" or what ever else he said. I mean, she did act like a child, so I guess that's how he treated her.
I feel as though Krogstad and Nora have a lot between them. I can't quite put my finger on it. She's so worried about Torvald finding out about the money and forging signatures that she's not even thinking about the positive. What if Torvald is actually happy that she did that? Having someone go through what Nora went through JUST to save my life would definitely make me know that I have someone that I know loves me to come home to. The same goes for Kristina and Nora. It's like Nora doesn't realize the things coming out of her mouth. She makes her life look so much better than Kristina's. She's also very conceited, making it seem like Kristina's not the most prettiest thing. It showed me how Nora really is when she said something like "It's been so long since we've seen each other, but I've been so happy." Ew! I would have had nothing more to say, but to leave.
